NHIA reviews prices on medicines list The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has reviewed its medicines list and tariffs, effective 1st March. 2016. The upward price adjustment of medicines and other tariffs were announced at a media briefing in Accra today. The CEO of the Authority, Nathaniel Otoo, said the review means the NHIA will now reimburse healthcare providers more for services rendered to reflect market prices. The move is also to curb the unauthorized charging of fees by healthcare providers from NHIS card holders. GBC
