Governance Expert Calls For Legislative Instrument To Guide Presidents On Content State Of The Nation Address President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday gave account of his stewardship to the people of Ghana when he delivered the state of the nation address to parliament. President Mahama mentioned his achievements in the power sector, saying about 80 percent of Ghanaians now have access to electricity. Meanwhile, a Political and Governance Expert, D Eric Oduro Osae has call for a legislative Instrument to guide successive Presidents on the content of their state of the Nation Address. Speaking on Behind the News, Dr Oduro Osae explained that the guideline should spell out the minimum content for the President’s Address to clearly reflect the status quo of the country in totality. According to him, President Mahama’s address is a rehash of his achievements over the years. He said the President failed to mention steps to deal with some pertinent issues such as the fulani menace, former Guantanamo Bay detainees, the IMF Package and the 10 year National Development Plan.
