UN provides shelter to families displaced in CAR fires Humanitarian aid is being provided by the UN to displaced people in the Central African Republic whose temporary shelters have been destroyed by a series of fires in January and February. The UN Humanitarian Coordinator, Aurélien Agbénonci, has expressed solidarity with the hundreds of families whose accommodation was burnt down. "He said that humanitarian actors in the country continue to respond to the urgent needs of the people affected by these fires. He added that the humanitarian community stands beside them and continues to support them."
