Japan supports Ghana Red Cross Society As part of efforts to build Ghana's resilience in the event of epidemics, the Japanese government is supporting the Ghana Red Cross Society with six hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Out of the amount, five hundred thousand dollars will be dedicated to the fight against Ebola while the remaining one hundred and fifty dollars will be for cholera eradication. At a presentation of a warehouse containing equipment and items to contain epidemics, the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, Kaoru Yoshimura, said the Japanese government is proud to be involved in efforts at preventing and fighting epidemics which pose a threat to national development.
