EC to hold Abuakwa-North by-election on Tuesday, March 29, 2016


The Electoral Commission will hold  by-election in Abuakwa-North in the Eastern Region on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.  

The seat became vacant following the death of the MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu.  

A statement issued by the Deputy Chairperson of the EC, Amadu Sulley said nominations for the election will  take place on 1st and 2nd March at the District Office of the Commission at Tafo from 9am to 12noon and 2pm to 5pm. 

The nomination forms may be obtained from the District Office or the Regional Office of the Commission at Koforidua.  The filing fee for the election is One Thousand Cedis.
