President Mahama Visits Kintampo Accident Victims


President John Mahama has announced a GH¢100,000 support for victims of the fatal Kintampo – Tamale highway accident.

Sixty-three persons lost their lives in the crash which occurred at the Kintampo Waterfalls junction last Wednesday night.

President Mahama accompanied by of the Deputy Minister of Health, Victor Bampoe and the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, Minister for Tourism Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare on Sunday visited some of the survivors in that fatal accident.

President Mahama also donated assorted items such as cartons of Milo and milk for their upkeep.

The injured are receiving treatment at various hospitals such as the Techiman Government Hospital, Komfo Anokye Hospital, Sunyani Government Hospital and the Holy Family Hospital in Sunyani.

Reports say six of the injured are in critical condition and have been airlifted to Accra for special care.
