President Mahama Expected To Present State Of Nation Address On February 25


President John Dramani Mahama is expected in Parliament next week Thursday February 25, 2016, to present the State of the Nation address to the House in accordance with Article 67 of the Constitution.

The Majority Leader Alban Bagbin announced this on the Floor of Parliament when he presented the business statement of the House for next week. 

Prior to the President’s address, the Finance Minister Seth Terkper has been summoned to apprise the House on the operations of savings and loans and micro-finance companies operating in the country with particular reference to the saga in the Brong Ahafo region.

The Minister of Water Resources Works and Housing is also scheduled to brief the House during the week on the acute water crisis at Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Winneba and other parts of the country.
