EC to discuss with institutions which nominated representatives to election steering committee The Electoral Commission will meet with institutions that nominated people accused of having political ties before taking a decision on the 18 member committee. The commission says the fact that some parties have issues with one or two people on the committee is not enough grounds to dissolve the committee. The EC has come under criticism for putting some people with alleged affiliations with the NDC on the committee. Acting Director of Public Affairs of the E.C, Christian Owusu Parry, however told Radio Ghana that the committee will not be dissolved. Touching on allegations that the EC did not write to the National Peace Council for a representative on the committee, Mr Parry said the EC did write to the Council adding that allegations being bandied about are false.
