Mass Burial For Passengers Who Perished In Kintampo Accident Mass burial for ten of the passengers who perished in the Kintampo accident will be held Friday. The MCE, Justice Micheal Bafo who revealed this to Radio Ghana said all the injured have been transferred from the Kintampo hospital to other hospitals. Meanwhile, management of the Metro Mass Transit Company has initiated its own investigation into the accident on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway which claimed more than 60 lives. It has emerged that the bus which was supposed to have 63 passengers on board had more than 70. The P.R.O of Metro Mass Transit, Bernice Akologo, says the company will compensate the families and take up the medical bills of the injured. In a related development, the Director General of the Police Motors Traffic Transport Department, ACP Patrick Adusei Sarpong says the accident on the Kintampo - Tamale Highway is shocking describing it as a tragedy for the nation. He said even though the accident may be due to human error, passengers must also ensure that their safety are not compromised by drivers. ACP Sarpong called for serious attitudinal change from both drivers and passengers anytime they are on the road. GBC
