Rigging claims and arrest mar voting in Uganda

Uganda's opposition leader Kizza Besigye has been released after being arrested by the police, with the country wrapping up voting in the presidential election alleged by the opposition to have been rigged in favour of the incumbent Yoweri Museveni.  

Reports say the police detained Mr. Besigye, a presidential candidate, as he and his supporters tried to show reporters what he called a vote-rigging operation.  

A number of people jumped from the fence around a house where the alleged fraud was committed.  

But before Besigye and his supporters could enter the house, he was arrested by the police.
