TOR poised to resume full scale operations

All is set for the Crude Distillation Unit, CDU, of the Tema Oil Refinery, TOR, to start running after two years of inactivity. 

This follows the resumption of operations of the Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracker, RFCC, last week. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana in Tema, a source close to the Refinery said the CDU should have started operating Thursday but there were pockets of water in the crude, and that had to be allowed to settle before loading the crude into the CDU for processing. 

The source stated that some products are available in both the storage and market tanks for sale since the RFCC is already running. 

According to the source, the workers and management are happy that the two plants have resumed operations.
