The Daily Graphic revisits the issue of the national database in the wake of the murder of the MP for Abuakwa North, J.B Danquah-Adu. The Paper says the inability of the Ghana Police Service and other security services to deal swiftly with criminals is due to lack of a proper database. It says it is not raising the red flag on the slow action in the national identification process because of the tragic death of the MP but because there are more than a score of unresolved murders on the dockets of the Ghana Police Service throughout the country. 

The Ghanaian Times welcomes the revelation by the Finance Minister, Seth Terkper that the economy is performing well which augers well for development of the country. Though the Paper has no reason to doubt the figures put out by the Minister, it seeks to find answers to whether Ghanaians are happy with the current economic conditions prevailing in the country. The Times says majority of Ghanaians care less about economic figures because they cannot relate it to their living conditions. It nevertheless commends the Finance Minister and his team for successfully steering the economic ship out of dangerous waters. The Paper encourages them to continue with the consolidation programme and sustain the economic gains for the benefit of the people.
