TV Licence team meets Ghana Progressive Hotel Association in Tema The Accra TV Licence Team has met with the Tema Regional Branch of the Ghana Progressive Hotel Association in Tema to further educate them on the essence of paying the TV Licence fee. The hoteliers are said to be the major stakeholders and clients when it comes to TV Licence. During the meeting, members raised concerns about the reduction of the rate, since they owe a number of TV set. In his response, the Head of the TV Licence, Pastor Emmanuel Botwi said it will be difficult to reduce the rate since the law has been passed and advised that the Association to petition Parliament. Pastor Botwi said since the fee was reviewed last year an electronic system for registration and collection has been introduced in addition to the existing manual process. The National President of the Association, Reverend Jonathan Osei said more education is needed to enlighten members on the fee since they have divergent views on the TV Licence. GBC
