NPP Stalwarts mourn late Abuakwa North MP 
 

The running mate to 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and some stawards of the party, have visited the residence of the deceased NPP MP, JB Danquah to sympathise with his family.  

They include Papa Owusu Ankomah, Osafo Marfo, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, Asamoah Boateng, John Boadu, Kingston Akomea Kissi, Frances Assiam and Adwoa Safo.

The MP for Abuakwa South, John Boadu said that it was very important to have a look at security measures at the homes of MPs to prevent such heinous crimes.

He said that J.B Danquah’s zeal to come back and work for the party was enormous and that the last time they met was during a funeral at Akropong.

He expressed the hope that the police would do a professional job to unravel the mystery behind the death of the MP.

Mr Boadu said that unfortunately, the acting Western Regional Chairman of NPP, Ben Kwaw, was also pronounced dead after jogging on Monday, when he experienced difficulty in breathing and that party was very saddened by the loss of both men.

The MP for Sekondi, Papa Owusu Ankomah said that the loss of JB Danquah was a great loss and that he was a very nice person and affable.

He said in the past few years, MPs had become subject to attacks, with the matter being raised and later dropped.

The Eastern Regional Chairman of NPP, Kinston Akomin-Kissi, said that the police should be left to investigate the murder, since the matter has to do with security.

He said considering the manner in which JB died, it was important that MPs have maximum security to prevent such occurrences in the future.
