Police Command Appeals to Public to Volunteer Information on Murder of Abuakwa North MP The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested five people in connection with the murder of the MP for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu at dawn on Tuesday, February 9,2016. At a news conference, the Accra Regional Police PRO, ASP Afia Tenge gave the assurance that Personnel are seriously examining evidence gathered to help unravel the circumstances that led to the stabbing of the Legislator. She appealed to the public to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators. Meanwhile, Radio Ghana interacted with some members of Parliament who expressed shock at the stabbing of their colleague. They condemned the act, saying it is in bad taste. According to them, the late J.B. Danquah Adu's contribution to the nation's democracy especially in the Legislature cannot be over emphasised. They paid glowing tribute to their late colleague and said he will be sorely missed. GBC
