Two arrested for attacking Akrobi Chief

Police in Brong-Ahafo have arrested two individuals who were part of a group of people who attacked the Palace of the Chief of Akrobi near Wenchi in the Bono-Ahafo Region, Nana Sepepe Poku Ababio. 

They are Patrick Ankamah, 58 and Isaac Adabanka, 34. 

The Bono-Ahafo Regional Police PRO, ASP Christopher Tawiah who disclosed this to Radio Ghana in Sunyani, said the Police had a tip off on the 29th of last month that the Chief of Akrobi was under attack at his Palace. 

The Police rushed to the scene and intervened, arresting the two suspects in the process.  

He said the Police retrieved two cap guns, four live cartridges and four empty cartridge shells from them on scene. 

They are in Police detention while investigations continue.  

The Police are also hunting for other members of the group who managed to escape to put before court.
