Dagbon Youth appeals to the 2 Royal Gates to allow peace prevail in Dagbon


The Youth of Dagbon have appealed to the Abudu and Andani Royal Families to allow peace to prevail in the Dagbon Kingdom by softening theirs stands and come to a compromise for the sake of the citizens of in the area.  

In a communique read at a peace conference in Tamale, the Chairman of the Dagbon Youth Association, Jagbo Baako urged Government and Civil Society Organizations to ensure that all agreements reached by both factions at the committee of eminent kings led by Otumfuo Osei Tutu be implemented. 

He also appealed to chiefs, traditional authorities and the people of Dagbon to report individuals who are worsening the situation as a result of their selfish interest.  

According to him, the only way in finding a lasting solution to the long protracted dispute is by peaceful procedures. 

He pledged the Association’s support to the outcome reached by the committee of Eminent Chiefs. 

Mr. Baako also appealed to the media be circumspect in their reportage because it can undermine the peace process.
