Health Center for Dakpemyili community and its environs in Tamale South 

The people of the Dakpemyili community and its environs in the Tamale South Constituency of the Tamale Metropolis will now enjoy quality health delivery following the construction of a Health Centre in the area.
 
The project which implemented by the Mata-N-Tudu Association in conjunction with the Tamale Metropolis Assembly Ghana Heath Service, the MP for the Area, Huruna Iddrisu was funded by the Japan Embassy.
 
The project was funded by Japan Grant Assistance for Grass Root Aman Security Project (GHSP) scheme.
 
A total amount of about 96,000 US Dollars was granted to Mata-N-Tudu Association to construct for the people in its environs. 

Hither to Yong Dakpemyili and its surrounding communities lacked a health facility to take care of their health needs. Patients had to travel for distance of about 15 kilometers by motor bike in order to access health care in Tamale.
 
This indeed caused a lot of deaths as patients either do not go for health care at all due to distance or do not get to the health facility on time.
 
Now with the provision of a midwife, the basic health care needs will improve maternal and child health through the provision of the antenatal care for pregnant woman.
 
The Chief Executive Officer of the Mata-N-Tudu Association, David Kolon said as a women association, its aim is to provide the health needs of women and children. 
He commended the Japan Embassy for the gesture. 

The Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive, Alhaji Hanan Gundadow said government will do everything possible to ensure that their lives are improved.
 
The Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji A. B.A Fuseini appealed to the people to live in peace so that they can secure more development project and programs. 

In a speech read for the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, he said the support from the government of Ghana and Japan is to emphasis the continues roles played by Japan as one of Ghana development partner in meeting its development targets.
