Second Lady donates health and educational equipment to people of Onzaeyeye


The Second Lady, Mrs. Amissah Arthur has donated ten (10) Laptops and ten (10) desktop computers and books to some three schools in Onzaeyeye, in the Nzema East District in the Western Region. 

The beneficiaries’ schools are Dome Abra M/A primary, Avrabo Primary and JSS and Awulai Gyamfi Kwame Primary and JSS all in the Nzema East District of the Western Region.

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur also donated quantity of medical equipment’s a valued at millions of Cedis to the Onzaeyeye Chip Compound. 
 
Mrs. Amissah-Arthur made the donations when she inaugurated a newly built Chip Compound financed by Ghana Rubber Estates Limited as part of their corporate social responsibility to the people.

She advised the school children in the area to take their lessons serious in order to become future leaders, according to her “Knowledge is Power.”

Mrs. Amissah Arthur said as part of her effort to help take care of the needs of people in hospitals, in her own small way, was by complementing government’s efforts in promoting quality health delivery and also enhancing education. 

She said she was happy to make the presentation towards helping improving the health educational status of the people in the area and also advised the teachers and health workers to continue to dedicate and work hard for the people of the area. 

The Paramount Chief of the Nsein Traditional Area Awulae Gyamfi Kwame commended the Second Lady, in her efforts in promoting quality education and good health to the poor and marginalized in Ghana. 

He also commended her for her commitment to promote the rights of children and showing love to the less privileged and vulnerable in the society.

He also took the opportunity to give a brief history of the area and called for urgent attention from government to help in the construction of roads and extension of electricity to the Onzaeyeye community and its environs to compliment other project in the community.
  
Other Dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Omanhene of the Esikado traditional area Nana Kwabena Nketia, who was the Chairman for the occasion, the Deputy Western Regional Minister, Ekow Gyan, the MP for the area and a host of dignitaries.
