Political parties asked to stay away from labour 

Organised Labour has asked political parties whose intention is  to politicise the upcoming demonstration to stay away from its ranks. 

It says  the demonstration is  for workers and not political parties.

The statement said Organised Labour is using  the demonstration to impress on government to reduce recent increases in taxes and utility tariffs. 

Organised labour assures all working people of Ghana of a peaceful nationwide demonstration.

It  urged workers in both the formal and informal sectors to participate fully in the demonstration. 

The statement said  the demonstration will start in Accra from Obra Spot near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle at 7: 30 am prompt.

It said the routes for the demonstration in the regional capitals will be announced by  in the  regions.
