Smarttys gives payment schedule for refund of excess money paid for rebranding Following the directive by the Chief of Staff to the Attorney General to recover excess payment for re-spraying and branding of 116 new buses for the Ministry of Transport, Lawyers for Smarttys Management and Productions Limited have reached agreement with the Attorney General to make full payment by the end of March this year. A schedule submitted by Smarttys confirmed that the payments will be made in three with the first installment being paid by the end of January. The Attorney General has meanwhile confirmed that the total amount to be refunded has been reviewed from 1.9 million cedis to One million five hundred and forty-eight thousand, six hundred and eight Cedis, four Pesewas. This is because of the revised Value Added Tax position, revised Withholding Tax and a set-off of Twenty-seven thousand, one hundred and seventy-three Cedis, seventy-four Pesewas being over deduction of Withholding Tax on the original payment.
