TEWU declares nationwide strike over single spine salary 

The Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU) has declared a strike over the failure of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission to address their concerns over the implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy. 

The Union says the Commission has failed to deliver on its promise of taking steps to bridge the excessive gap between salaries of senior and junior staff of public universities.
