Human Rights court dismisses suit against Zanetor Rawlings An Accra High Court has dismissed suit against the NDC'S parliamentary aspirant for the Korle Klottey Constituency, Zanetor Rawlings. The Suit which was filed some party members sought to challenge the eligibility of Miss Rawlings in contesting the seat and wanted her disqualified and the results annulled. The court held the view that the action by the plaintiffs is an afterthought and a waste of resources. Justice Patience Mills Teeteh further stated that the suit is an abuse of court processes with regards to the fact that the plaintiffs failed to use the party's internal mechanisms in addressing the issue. Justice Mills Tetteh said the plaintiffs could have taken the action immediately following the announcement of Miss Rawlings to contest the primaries in that Constituency. The court established that even though Zanetor's name is not yet on the voter's register, that should not prevent her from contesting in the elections because she will have the opportunity to register when the EC opens a new voters’ register.
