Accra High Court dismissed  a suit against the NDC's parliamentary candidate

An Accra High  Court has dismissed  a suit against the NDC's parliamentary candidate for Korle Klottey Constituency, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings.

The suit which was filed by some party members sought to challenge the eligibility of Dr. Zenator Rawlings in contesting the seat and wanted her disqualified and the results annulled.

According to the plaintiffs, Dr Zanetor is not a registered voter and could therefore not  contest in the primaries.

The Court  held the view that, the action by the plaintiffs is an after thought and a waste of resources.
 
Justice Patience Mills Tetteh  said the suit was an abuse of court processes  with regards to the fact that the plaintiffs failed to use the party's internal mechanism in addressing the issue.
