IGP praises performance of media in ECOWAS sub-region The Inspector General of Police, John Kudalor has praised the performance of the media in the ECOWAS sub-region. According to him, there is the need for the Police and the media to work hand in hand to promote peace and security within the sub-region. The IGP also urged the media to consult the Police all the time on matters of national security before publishing or putting them on air. Mr. Kudalor was speaking when a group of journalists formed under the ECOWAS Community Development Programme paid a courtesy call on him to brief him on their activities as journalists in assisting ECOWAS to achieve its vision 2020. The IGP also highlighted some of the challenges faced at the various borders. The Community Development Programme formed the media network among the 15 West African countries to help create awareness and educate citizens about the integration process. The Chairman of the Ghana branch, Francis Tuffour later presented the concept note of the network to the IGP. GBC
