Organized Labour To Go Ahead With Planned Demo After Unsuccessful Dialogue With Gov’t Organised Labour will today brief the media on the way forward after its meeting with government over the recent increases in the prices of petroleum products and taxes ended inconclusively. The news conference will determine whether or not workers will go ahead with their planned demonstration to get government to reduce utility tariffs and fuel prices. Organised labour is demanding 50 percent increase in salaries and is asking government to among other things, withdraw the Energy Sector Levy which they believe has resulted in astronomical and unjustified increases in prices of petroleum products.
