Atuabo Gas To Be Closed For Routine Maintenance Today The Atuabo Gas Plant will be shut for a routine maintenance Today. The plant will come back on stream after 15 working days, an official statement said. Management of the Plant has, however, assured that the shutdown will not affect power supply in the country. The Ghana Gas Company is liaising with the Volta River Authority (VRA) and Tullow Oil for the planned maintenance. About 600 Megawatts of electricity will be lost during the mandatory maintenance. Nonetheless, the Chairman of the Load Management Committee, William Amuna says VRA has adequate stock of crude to fuel the working plants. SOURCE: Starr News
