Outbreak of Meningitis in Tain District kills 7, while yellow fever kills 3 in West Gonja Seven people are reported dead following the outbreak of meningitis in the Tain District of Brong Ahafo. The outbreak occurred late last month due to the change in weather. The Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Badu Sarkodie told Radio Ghana that health officials have since intensified public education on the disease. He told Radio Ghana`s Rita Amparbin Tetteh that the situation is under control. Dr. Badu Sarkodie also confirmed the deaths of three people as a result of Yellow fever in the West Gonja District of the Northern Region. He cautioned the public to be mindful of their health status and should also heed to warnings of health experts. GBC
