About 30 residents displaced in Ashaiman fire Some wooden structures at Tsnai- agbe close to the Ashaiman market were razed down by fire last Thursday. About 30 residents have been displaced following the fire outbreak. Speaking to GBC's Obonu News, the Ashaiman District Fire Officer, Anthony Mawuko Semey explained the situation when they got to the scene. Mr. Semey could not give the cause of the fire, but said investigations will be carried out soon. He said as part of the Commands education drive, drivers in Ashaiman have been given stickers with detailed information of the service to create more awareness on fire prevention and safety. Some residents around the area said they saw smoke emanating from one of the wooden structures and quickly started spreading. They suspect the fire was caused by some welders who were operating in one of the structures. The residents commended the Ashaiman fire personnel for their swift intervention to control the fire. GBC
