Justice Dery withdraws contempt suit against fellow judge

One of the twelve High Court judges implicated in the bribery expose by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Justice Paul Utter Dery, has withdrawn the contempt suit against an Appeals Court Judge, Justice Gertrude Torkornoo at the Supreme Court. 

Last September, Justice Torkornoo struck out a contempt suit filed by Justice Dery against Tiger Eye PI, Accra International Conference Centre, Media Foundation for West Africa and some media houses for their roles in the public viewing of the video on the judiciary bribery scandal. 

According to Justice Dery, the sitting judge at the time, Justice Torkornoo had no jurisdiction to hear the suit which was subsequently struck out.
