Media Law Lecturer sees nothing wrong with the New LI 2224 which seeks to sanitise media landscape A Lecturer in Media Law and Ethics at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, (GIJ) Zakaria Tanko Musah, says, he sees nothing wrong with the New LI 2224 which seeks to sanitise the media landscape. Speaking to Radio Ghana, he said it is a step in the right direction because its purpose is in tandem with the public`s call for decorum on the airwaves. Mr. Musah noted that the law does not intend to define editorial content, saying the NMC should do well to engage stakeholders to lessen the speculations and debates that have greeted the law. On the performance of the media, Mr. Musah said it has done well especially in helping to bring some scandals to the fore and this has helped the national cause. He however said the issue of violations of ethical values is still high, and this must be addressed. GBC
