Foreign Affairs Minister Assures Nation Guantanamo Detainees Not A Threat To National Security Minister of Foreign Affairs Hanna Tetteh has assured the nation that enough security checks have been made on the terror suspects being accommodated in Ghana. She said Ghana's Ambassador to the US, General Smith, has personally interviewed those detainees and they pose no threat to the security of the nation. She was speaking to Radio Ghana in Accra. The Ministry yesterday broke the news about Ghana accepting two people of Yemeni origin who were detained in Guantanamo but have been cleared of any involvement in terrorist activities. She said the two will be under constant surveillance to ensure that they do not pose any security threat. GBC
