Kumasi churches fill to capacity, as worshipers usher in New Year

 
In Kumasi, most churches were filled to capacity, as worshipers sang and praised God for having mercies on them and taking them successfully through another year. 

The common message that run through the sermons was the need for all Ghanaians to rededicate themselves and resolve to lead pure lives in order to enjoy true blessings and prosperity in 2016.
  
At the Saint Peters Catholic Church at Asuoyeboa, the Parish Priest, Reverend Father Isaac Manu reminded Christians that Christianity is a religion of action. 

They should therefore not pay lip service   as Christians but live according to the virtues of Jesus Christ of which love is paramount. 

At the Brotherhood Church at South Suntreso, which is an offspring of the Aladura Church, the congregation sang and danced to the glory of God. 

It was their way of expressing their gratitude to God for showering his goodness and faithfulness on them. 

They also used the occasion to intercede for peace and prosperity for the nation in the New Year. 

The Founder and Leader of the church, Primate S.K. Adofo advised Ghanaians to consider their entering a new year as an opportunity to serve God and humanity. 

He noted that every New Year has its own opportunities and challenges.
 
However, it is only those who rely totally on God who succeed throughout the year.
 
At the Pentecostal Life Church International, Amakom Central, the Senior Pastor, Reverend Stephenson Gyedu admonished Christians to totally rely on God’s direction so that they can succeed in their pursuits for individual and national development.
 
He reminded also Christians of their responsibility to pray for peaceful, free and fair general elections and vote wisely for competent people to steer the affairs of the country. 

At the Emmanuel Temple of Assemblies of God, Ghana at Asafo Dadiesoaba, the Senior Pastor, Reverend Dr. Duncan Nuako urged members of the church to see 2016 as another opportunity that God has given them to bring to fruition their dreams and aspirations they could not fulfill the previous year.
