VEEP and family celebrate Christmas at Tema General Hospital

 
Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur and his wife Matilda  spent christmas with the children, doctors and nurses at the Tema General Hospital.  They presented assorted gifts to all the children on admission and assorted foods and drinks to the nurses and doctors.  

The gesture according to the second couple was to commend the nurses and doctors at the hospital for their dedication, hard work and sacrifices and to encourage them.  

On Christmas Day every year, the second family either spend the day with children on admission to hospitals or with children in orphanages.  

The visit to the Tema General Hospital was the first by Mr. and Mrs. Amissah-Arthur.  

The Medical Director of the Tema General Hospital, Dr. Kwabena Opoku Adusei welcomed the second family to his office and Mrs. Amissah-Arthur informed him of the basis of the visit. 

The couple proceeded to the two children's wards at the hospital, interacted with and presented gifts to those on admission aged six months to 12 years.  

Other children who were also visiting the hospital with their churches and parents received some of the gifts.  

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur handed over assorted foods and drinks to Dr. Opoku Adusei for the patients, doctors and nurses at the hospital. 

He expressed gratitude to the second family for the gesture.  

The Dansoman Ebenezer Methodist Church Choir was at the hospital to sing christmas carols to the children.
