The Ghanaian Times welcomes the new pact between the Chiefs and people of Nkonya and Alavanyo. The paper hopes this time around total peace will be restored as similar pacts in the past have not yielded the needed result, not even the presence of the police and military posted to the area in addition to the imposition of a curfew could bring the two factions to stop fighting. The Times says it is not fair for the nation's scare resources to be spent in such conflicts at a time when the nation is experiencing economic challenges. The paper calls for an end to the Nkonya-Alavanyo conflict now.


The Herald wishes Ghanaians a very Merry christmas and a prosperous new year. The paper says as much as Ghanaians would have expected more and better Christmas, they are content with how far the good Lord has brought them. The Herald urges its readers to stay safe and healthy.
