Labour Expert says organised labour cannot ignore  Tripartite law and decide to go on strike


A Labour Expert Dr. Austin Gamey says  organised labour  cannot ignore the Tripartite law section 113 and decide to go on strike.

He told Radio Ghana that the way to go is not a nationwide strike but an urgent round table conference by the Tripartite committee to look at the various components involved in producing energy and water and try to reach a solution acceptable to all.

On the current economic situation of the country . 

Dr. Gamey said no single government can be blamed for it. 

He said mistakes by past and present governments contributed to the depreciation. 

Economic decisions were taken without considering the necessary back up measures. 

He said the reason for the challenges of the economy must be looked into by the technocrats.
