New Amenfi West MP Eric Afful sworn into parliament


The Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho has sworn in the newly elected Member of Parliament for Amenfi West, Eric Afful. 

Mr. Afful won the seat through a by-election in the constituency following the passing-on of the former MP, John Gyatuah. 

In congratulating Mr. Afful the Speaker asked him to be a representative of all the people and not only his party faithful’s.
 
Mr. Afful took the Oath Allegiance and the Oath of a Member of Parliament.

The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Mahama Ayariga on behalf of the Majority expressed confidence in the new MP and hoped he will be a worthy ambassador of the people. 

He said his overwhelming victory in the polls is an indication of the trust Ghanaians have in the NDC Government.

The Deputy Minority whip Ignatius Baffour Awuah also appealed to Mr. Afful to be non-partisan in addressing the needs of his people.
