EC to receive official report & recommendation from 5- member panel this week


The Electoral Commission will this week receive the official report and recommendation of the five member committee set up to look into calls for a new voters’ register. 

The Committee chaired by Mr Justice V.C.R.A.C Crabbe steered a two day forum which received petitions ,ideas and submissions from political parties ,civil society groups and individuals after persistent calls by the NPP for a new voters register. 

Briefing parliament last Friday on the commissions preparations towards the 2016 elections,the chairperson of the Electoral Commission Mrs Charlotte Osei said the panel is expected to come out with a final decision this week.
