NPP Flagbearer Expected In Sunyani For Extraordinary Congress 

The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo Addo is expected in Sunyani ahead of tomorrow's extraordinary Delegates Congress of the party, despite reports that the Sunyani Traditional Council intends to prevent the party from holding the event in the regional capital. 

The Traditional Council is said to be angered by the refusal of the party to apologise for some disparaging comments made against the Paramount Chief of Sunyani when he pledged the region’s support for President Mahama.  

Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary of the NPP, Alfred Anye, said despite the claims, all is set for the Congress.  

On the claims that the Traditional Council wants to stop the Congress, Mr. Anye said  he cannot deny or confirm it.
