NDPC to begin 2nd phase of dev't plan consultation next year The National Development Planning Commission will begin the second phase of consultation for the 40 year National Development Plan in February next year. The second phase will be technical consultation with the private sector, Civil Society Organisations and a special session with educational institutions. The Director General of the NDPC, Dr. Nii Moi Thompson announced this at a news conference in Accra on the first phase of consultations in all the ten regions. He said a special conference for strategic financing of the long term plan will also come off next year. Dr. Nii Moi Thompson said the sustainability of the long term development plan depends on the support of all Ghanaians, political parties and civil society groups. National Development Planning Commission, Professor Kwesi Botchway said after all the consultations with relevant stakeholders a draft national plan will be out-doored for a national debate and review to have the final document which will become operational in 2018.
