Prez Mahama In Abuja For 40th Anniversary & End of Year Ordinary Session of Authority of Heads of State & Gov't


President John Mahama, has arrived in Abuja, Nigeria for the 40th Anniversary and End of Year Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government. 

After the opening ceremony later today, the Heads of State are expected to go into a closed door session. 

Sources say the main issue to be discussed will be the coup in Burkina Faso. 

The 40th Anniversary of the Authority was scheduled for May this year but was postponed at the 47th extraordinary session of ECOWAS which was held in Accra in the same month. 

President Mahama, is accompanied by the Foreign Minister, Hannah Tetteh, National Security Advisor Baba Kamara and Secretary to the President Ambassador Kwesi Quartey.
