Security agencies asked to tighten networks to trace sources of Kumasi Arms


The Deputy Special Representative for the UN African Mission in Dafur, Major General Henry Anyidoho, has asked the security agencies to tighten the nods and move fast to trace the sources of the arms cache seized in Kumasi. 

Major General Anyidoho told Radio Ghana that the seizure of those high powered weapons provides evidence of serious proliferation of dangerous weapons not only in neighbouring countries but also in Ghana.  

He said as the country enters an election year, there is the need for civil society groups to support the security agencies to tighten the networks to prevent any unpredictable crime.
