Thousands unite to ask President Zuma to step down South Africa's president Jacob Zuma is being asked to step down in a social media campaign Hush Tagged #Zumamustfall. This follows a number of reshuffles he made in the vital Ministry of Finance this past week. Social media garthered thousands of South Africans who are calling for President Jacob Zuma to step down from his position as president. President Zuma has been heavily criticised for the changes, with the rand going on a downward spiral after Minister of Finance, Nhlanhla Nene, was originally sacked. Several Facebook pages last Monday, created thousands of people from major cities across the country calling for peaceful marches on December 16. The event pages for protest marches have been created for Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Nelson Mandela Bay. Most of the #Zumamustfall event pages is reported to have been created by an organisation called United Against Corruption. NEWS24
