President Mahama Asks World Leaders To Ensure That Dignity Of The Human Race Is Respected                             

President John Dramani Mahama has asked world leaders to maintain peace by initiating ideas and solutions that will ensure that the dignity of the human race is respected and protected.  

He said the absence of war does not mean there is peace, but rather nations must strive to achieve equality and the respect for all.  

Addressing the 70th UN General Assembly in New York, today, President Mahama said the very institutions that are expected to promote peace are the ones violating their mandate.

Turning to Ghana, President Mahama highlighted programmes his government has initiated to promote gender equality.

President Mahama also used the occasion to highlight some positive strides Ghana has made over the years in the areas of democracy and economic growth.
