Government to Issue White Paper On June 3 disaster report

The government is expected to issue a white-paper soon on the findings and recommendations of the five-member-committee that investigated the June 3rd, fire and flood disaster.

The committee was set up to look into an explosion at a Filling Station around Kwame Nkrumah Circle, which claimed more than 100 lives and rendered about 500 people homeless.  

Speaking at a news conference, the Minister for the Interior, Mark Woyongo, revealed that the report has been forwarded to the President for the necessary action.

Mr. Woyongo also disclosed that more than Seven thousand kilograms of illicit drugs were seized as at the middle of this year, and those arrested are currently facing criminal prosecution
