Ministry to introduce telephone facilities in Prisons

Conditions of inmates in the country's prisons will soon improve as the Ministry for the Interior plans to introduce telephone facilities and other services in some selected prisons. 

Under the programme, the inmates will be expected to communicate with families, friends and their lawyers, but under strict supervision.  

The sector Minister, Mark Wayongo made this known, when he took his turn at the “Meet The Press” series in Accra today.
