Trade and Industry Minister meets business community in Tamale The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Ekwo Spio Garbrah has met the business community in Tamale to ascertain the state of their businesses and help improve upon the business industry in the country. The meeting forms part of the Minister’s working visit to the Northern Region. Addressing the business community in Tamale today, Dr. Spio Garbrah urged business Agencies to use formal approaches to channel their challenges to the ministry for reddress. He said government remains resolute to providing good atmosphere for local business industries to thrive. Heads of business agencies present at the meeting stated inadequate funding and poor information flow between the ministry and the industries as a challenge hampering their operations. They called on government to assist them grow their businesses. The Sector Minister later visited some local business industries in the metropolis including the Tiehisuma Sheabutter Processing center, Avnas Rice Processing Center and Sekaf limited. He expressed satisfaction with the operations of these businesses and urged them to expand their businesses to creat jobs for the teaming youth. GBC
