Ghana losing a huge chunk of its export earnings 

The Times   says the ban on the export of certain types of vegetables to the European market, is very worrying. This is because it will affect those engaged in the export of non-traditional goods, which will adversely affect the economy.

 The Times acknowledges that in every business endeavour, some of the exporters will attempt to circumvent the laid down guidelines and adopt un-professional means to facilitate their businesses. 

 It however, behoves the inspectorate or regulatory agencies to monitor the processes and ensure strict compliance.

The Times urges the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to ensure that stakeholders collaborate effectively, to streamline the processes and bring the sector back on track, to avoid Ghana losing a huge chunk of its export earnings.
