As it begins its two day National Delegates Congress today, the Daily Graphic calls on executives of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) to re-engineer the democratic layout of the party, build effective grass-roots structures and work in unity to make it more formidable to contest election 2016. The paper wonders whether there is any hope in rebuilding the Nkrumaist legacy. It contends that the ideologies of social justice and equal opportunity for all Nkrumaist are still relevant. The paper therefore hopes members of the party will use the outcome of the congress to redefine its mission to rejuvenate and revitalise itself. 

An applause for the beginning of Community High Schools is how the Ghanaian Times captions its editorial. Making reference to the commissioning of the first community day school in the Central Region, the paper is happy that government has released funds to the Ministry of Education for the payment of the first term fees. The Times whilst commending government for this great initiative urges it to be firm in its resolve and ensure the sustenance of the programme with the timely release of future financial commitments. It also entreats students not to take the assistance for granted by wasting time on the internet and on social media. Teachers must be patriotic and selfless to educate the students to take up leadership roles in the future.
