Central Regional Secretariat of NDC burgled Thieves broke into the Central Regional office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Cape Coast, making away with several items in the early hours of last Sunday. Reports say the robbers numbering about five ransacked all the offices in the building and made away with an amount of Ghc 3,000. Pendrives and a 32 inch Samsung plasma TV. According to the report, offices of the Regional Chairman and the elections officer were the worst affected in the raid. Central regional Chairman of the NDC, Ben Allotey Jacobs told an Accra based radio, Starr News that it is clear that the robbers were seeking for information on the party’s biometric registration exercise. “I don’t know what they were looking for, but it looks like the target was my office and that of the elections director’s office. "It is either they came for information regarding the biometric registration and using as a decoy the removal of TV in my office.” “If you look at the way the whole place is scattered, one is inclined to believe that there is a motive behind the robbery.” He however, added that the party will not be discouraged by the robbery and will go ahead with its organisation towards the 2016 general elections.
